Why is my video card overheating?

I have an M5790 Laptop Area-51 and try to play every game that keeps overheating end graphics card and I, with a choppy game. When started, it works fine. R2 5750 with 256 MB ATI X1800 graphics card MXM3. I Alienware support and suggested a reinstall everything and update my drivers and about 10 minutes in games, starts to overheat. He does all the games I've tried. World in Conflict, Hellgate, Fear, Command and Conquer, Spore ... 1 1 / 2 years

May just be poor circulation of air through the computer case. Not having enough fans in case, being in a warm room, or simply have your team for a long time can do this.
